What is a direct driven compressor?
Direct drive air compressors do not have a belt or pulley system, as they are powered by a crankshaft connected directly to the motor. The crankshaft's direct connection to the compressor causes the pump to rotate at the same speed as the motor. The most significant benefit to this design is its lack of wear parts.
This type air compressor can be used in painting, air tools, auto repair and nail gun.

The free air delivery in an air compressor is measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM). It is the amount of air generated by the air compressor at a certain pressure level.
