Factors affecting the exhaust volume of screw air compressors

The exhaust volume of an air compressor refers to the atmospheric pressure below the suction state line, which reflects an important indicator of the working capacity of an air compressor. So, what are the factors that affect the exhaust volume of a screw air compressor?
1. Leakage situation
During operation, the internal structures of the screw air compressor do not come into contact with each other and are not very tight, so there may be gas leakage. When a gas leak occurs, the exhaust volume will decrease. Usually, in order to avoid this situation during design, there is a specialized meshing gear to avoid gas leakage. However, when the gear is damaged, gas leakage still occurs, which affects the exhaust volume.
2. Inhalation situation
A screw air compressor is a volumetric type air compressor. When operating, the gas temperature will increase, or when the gas pipeline for transportation is blocked, the density of the gas in the air compressor will decrease, so the exhaust volume will also decrease.
3. Cooling situation
During the operation of a screw air compressor, the friction between internal components can lead to an increase in the temperature of the machine itself. After the temperature of the machine rises, during the process of thin suction, the inhaled gas in contact with the heating components will also be heated and expand, resulting in a decrease in density and exhaust volume. If there is a good cooling system at this time, this situation can be avoided.
4. Speed
When the rotation speed of the screw air compressor increases, the air displacement of the compressor will also increase, and vice versa, it will decrease. Therefore, increasing the rotation speed of the air compressor is also a means to increase the air displacement, and factors affecting the speed include voltage conditions.
The scheduling of screw air compressors is a manifestation of the performance of a machine, so if we encounter a decrease in exhaust volume during work, we can start from these points to solve the problem.
