The use and maintenance of lubricating oil for air compressors

As an air compressor user and maintenance personnel, in addition to mastering the general knowledge of the composition principle, performance structure, and use requirements of the lubrication system and its devices, it is also necessary to accumulate experience in practice and strengthen the daily use and maintenance of air compressors. To ensure that the air compressor and its lubrication system can maintain a good operating condition.
1. Pay attention to keep the lubricating oil clean. Dirty or deteriorated lubricating oil will cause bearing wear, so Deman's special lubricating oil and Deman's oil and gas fine separation core should be replaced in time.
2. Pay attention to controlling the amount of lubricating oil. The amount of lubricating oil in the air compressor should not be too much or too little. To identify whether the amount of lubricating oil is appropriate, you can observe the oil sight glass on the oil and gas barrel. For air compressors less than 15Kw, the oil level must be seen in the oil sight glass when the machine is stopped; for air compressors larger than 18Kw, the oil level must be seen in the oil sight glass when it is running.
3. Regularly check whether there are carbon deposits and cement in the exhaust device and pipeline of the air compressor.
4. Pay attention to maintain the oil temperature of the lubrication system. If the oil temperature is too high, the viscosity of the lubricating oil will be reduced, and it will be oxidized and deteriorated; if the oil temperature is too low, the viscosity will increase, and the fluidity will deteriorate, which will affect the normal operation of the air compressor. The oil temperature can be directly measured by the oil temperature sensor.
5. Maintain the safety valve. The safety valve is installed on the oil-gas separation tank, which should be inspected once a year, or in accordance with the regulations of the local labor department. Note: The opening pressure of the safety valve should be based on the relevant national standards or the manufacturer's standards, and the user must not adjust it by himself!
6. Maintain the water cooler. When the cooler is dirty and blocked, the air compressor discharge temperature will increase. Therefore, the cooler should be purged or cleaned regularly according to the environmental conditions, so that the air compressor can work at a normal temperature to ensure a long service life of the unit and lubricating oil.
The reasonable use of air compressor lubricating oil can effectively prolong the service life of the air compressor, reduce the maintenance cost of the air compressor, and save considerable expenses for the enterprise.
