The Noise Control Of Air Compressors Includes The Following Three Aspects

The control of air compressor noise mainly adopts three aspects: muffler, muffler tunnel, and sound insulation technology:
1. Installing a silencer
The main noise source is the intake and exhaust ports, and suitable intake and exhaust mufflers should be selected. The frequency spectrum of air compressor intake noise exhibits low-frequency characteristics, and the intake muffler should choose a resistant structure or an impedance composite structure with resistance as the main factor. The exhaust pressure of the air compressor is high, and the airflow speed is high. A small hole muffler should be used at the exhaust port of the air compressor.
2. Setting up noise reduction tunnels
An underground or semi underground tunnel with sound-absorbing walls made of bricks. Connect the intake pipe of the air compressor to the noise reduction tunnel, allowing air to enter the air compressor through the noise reduction tunnel. The use of silencing tunnels can greatly reduce the intake noise of the air compressor and prolong its service life compared to ordinary silencers.
3. Establish sound insulation cover
After installing silencers or setting up silencing tunnels at the inlet and outlet of the air compressor, the airflow noise can be reduced to below 80db (a), but the mechanical and motor noise of the air compressor are still very high. Therefore, sound insulation covers should also be installed on the unit of the air compressor.
4. Suspended space sound-absorbing body.
