Positive displacement compressors are compressors that increase gas or steam pressure by reducing the internal volume of the compression chamber. Screw air compressor is one of the positive displacement compressors and is a continuous program during normal operation. However, sometimes screw air compressors may trip during operation, which brings inconvenience to users. So, what are the reasons for the trip of the screw air compressor?
Reason for screw air compressor trip:
1. Short circuit
For example, a short circuit in the motor coil, a short circuit in the frequency converter, or an aging short circuit in the internal power line can cause a screw air compressor to trip.
2. The wire diameter is too small
The power wire diameter of the screw air compressor should not be less than the rated current value, otherwise it will trip when fully loaded or started.
3. The amperage of the air switch is too small
The rated current of the air switch of the screw air compressor should not be too small, otherwise it will also trip when fully loaded or started.
In short, there are many reasons for the tripping of the screw air compressor, such as oil fine separation blockage and high temperature. Therefore, when using a screw air compressor, we should pay special attention to its power supply current, lubricating oil quality, and the cleanliness of the oil fine separation to ensure that the screw air compressor can operate normally and avoid tripping.
