(1) Working principle of air compressor oil and gas separation filter element
The compressed air coming out of the air compressor head will contain large and small oil droplets. In the oil and gas separator tank, large oil droplets are easy to separate, while suspended oil particles with a diameter of less than 1 μm need to be filtered through the micron glass fiber filter layer of the oil and gas separation filter.
The oil particles pass through the diffusion of the filter material and are directly intercepted by the filter material. Coupled with the mechanism of inertial collision and coagulation, the suspended oil particles in the compressed air quickly condense into large oil droplets. The inlet of the bottom oil return line returns to the oil system of the handpiece, thereby discharging purer compressed air.
When the solid particles in the compressed air pass through the oil-air separator, they will stay in the filter layer, resulting in a continuous increase in the pressure difference of the oil separator. Every Deman air compressor is equipped with an oil separation core differential pressure transmitter. When the differential pressure transmitter activates, the filter element must be replaced, otherwise it will affect the service life of the air compressor and increase the operating cost.

There are two common air compressor oil and gas separation filter elements, namely the built-in oil and gas separator and the external oil and gas separator. Different models of air compressors use different oil and gas separation filters.
